Boys and Girls Clubs of America
The Boys and Girls Clubs of America began in 1860 in Hartford, CT. Three women, Elizabeth Hammersley, Mary Goodwin, and Alice Goodwin started the first club as an alternative for boys roaming the local streets. The nationwide movement began in 1906. Since that time the Boys and Girls Clubs of America have provided a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for kids and tends of every race, religion, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexuality, ability, and socio-economic status. The mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America is, “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
We are proud to support them with donations!
